Artist Bio

Emma Jemima is a singer-songwriter/ Guitarist and Producer from Bognor Regis now based in London. Musically she creates emotive lyrics and catchy melodies, specific but not limited to the genres of commercial/ alt Pop, Rock and R’n’B.


Music has always been a driving force in Emma’s life and her best outlet for self-expression. She began writing music at age 9, armed with an instrumental skill set of vocals, guitar and piano. Since then, she has never stopped pushing the limits of what she can create be that with song writing or production.


Emma’s first single was released in August 2020 called: ‘I Can’t Help That I Miss You’, followed closely by the songs: ‘Fed Up’ and 'Losing Control' and 'Wine'- which gave listeners just a taste of what she has in store. Her latest single called 'Start a fire' is out now!

Freelance Session Guitarist

Emma Jemima is an Electric and Acoustic session guitarist based in London and Sussex who specialises in the genres of Pop, Rock, Musical Theatre, R&B and Indie. 


Emma as a guitarist has worked with a range of artists, this has included studio recording and writing session work with up-and-coming musicians ‘George Alfie’ and ‘Obi’. Emma has performed as a guitarist in different venue capacities, examples in the Southeast of England include ‘The ROX Festival’ and ‘The Eastgate’. She has also played guitar for her own song releases under the name ‘Emma Jemima’ and can record and mix guitar to a professional standard. 


She has played guitar in a pit band for local musical adaptations of ‘Rock of Ages’ and ‘Popstars! The 90’s Musical’ in Sussex. During this, she worked with an MD and the cast- performing multiple consecutive nights. Another live performance setting Emma has played in is for the show ‘Well Behaved Women’ at ‘Cadogan Hall’. This show consisted of song arrangements for a vast array of genres such as Bossa Nova and Gospel. Emma has played as a Dep guitarist for the West End Production of ‘SIX: The Musical’ at the ‘Vaudeville Theatre’ and ‘SIX: The Musical UK TOUR’ at the ‘Milton Keynes Theatre’. Emma has also worked with the artist ‘Chloe Ann’ and a live music production company ‘Grizzly Sounds’ as a guitarist. For this role she filmed a live session which was audio and visually recorded, where she played Pop/ Rock original songs and covers. Most Recently she has played guitar for a Musical Theatre show called ‘Up Close and Personal’, with a one-night-only performance starring ‘Gabriela Garcia’. Here she played theatre songs from ‘Rent’, ‘In The Heights’ and much more - as well as early band adaptations of an original musical ‘Gabriela Garcia’ wrote based on ‘Frida Kahlo’. 


Emma has also been apart of filmed remote performances using the production software's Logic Pro X and Ableton Live. This she has done in band settings as well as solely, these have been posted on her social media platforms. 


Emma has completed a BA (hons) Degree in Music in Practice at the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in Guildford - graduating with a First-Class Honours. Whilst there, she studied under Brian Henry (Soul 2 Soul, Chaka Khan) and Jamie West-Ornan (Stevie Nicks, David Bowie).
